Patrick J. Gorman has been with Wild, Carter & Tipton since 1987.

Educational Background

Mr. Gorman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Fresno State University in 1984. He then attended Santa Clara University where he received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, in 1987.

Special Emphasis

Mr. Gorman has represented a wide variety of clients in the construction industry including material suppliers, specialty sub-contractors, general contractors, architects, and engineers. His clients vary from small sole proprietorships to large national corporations. Mr. Gorman has arbitrated and litigated numerous cases involving private works projects to all sizes as well as municipal, state, and federal works projects.

Mr. Gorman has represented growers, brokers, and commission merchants in a wide variety of agribusiness matters including Perishable Agricultural Commodity Act (PACA) disputes, crop loss cases, accounting disputes, etc.

Mr. Gorman has also successfully handled eminent domain cases on behalf of a variety of landowners against Caltrans, PG&E, and local municipalities.

Mr. Gorman is a lifelong resident of Fresno and is active in several charitable and non-profit organizations. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the corporations that operate Masten Towers and Glen Agnes, two non-profit residential facilities that provide housing for low income senior citizens and the physically disabled.

He has been an active member of the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal organization, for over 30 years, and has served in various local, regional, and statewide positions within the organization.

Mr. Gorman also sat as Judge Pro Tem of the Fresno County Superior Court from 1995 until 2005.

Mr. Gorman is a member of the Fresno County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of California and has been awarded the distinction of Super Lawyer for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
