John W. Phillips is a native of Fresno, California.  He obtained his Bachelor's degree from California State University, Fresno, in 1983 and received his J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1990.  Mr. Phillips went on to obtain his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego.  Mr. Phillips is also a Certified Public Accountant.

He currently practices law throughout California, and is admitted to all California state courts, as well as the U.S. District Court of California (Eastern, North, Southern and Central Districts), the U.S. Tax Court and the District Court of Hawaii.

Mr. Phillips is an active member of the Fresno County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.  His practice centers on civil litigation, business and commercial law, and taxation.
